Let there be vinyl

If you love the vinyl format and still love to collect it, listen to it, enjoy the larger form artwork and the general inconvenience of it, then read on ..

With two new albums due out this year, ‘Diurnal’ and ‘Adventures In Anhedonia’, the question of vinyl pressings has once again arisen, and people have already contacted us asking if there will be a vinyl release of the albums. The problem with vinyl these days is the cost of manufacturing, especially in limited quantities, and the cost of postage and packaging. We are at the mercy of both the pressing plants and the postal services when it comes to creating an attractive package at a good price for everyone. Of primary importance is also the pressing and sound quality, which limits us to the better pressing services that we know can be trusted, even though these are pricier. There is no way I want my music on vinyl just for the sake of it, it has to be in the best quality for the medium.

In order to gauge interest and ensure we are not just ending up with a basement full of my own records and a big bill, it would be great to know if you would buy a special vinyl package of the two new albums, tentatively named ‘Nine Stones Close 2024’.

The package would contain both albums to be released by the band this year on two coloured vinyl discs packaged in a wide single sleeve package that shows both front covers on the outside. Next to both discs there will be a 60x30cm folded inlay with all lyrics and liner notes of both albums. Here’s a mock-up of one of the front covers of the vinyl release, the other we’re keeping a secret at the moment. The colours of the vinyl are still an indication of the colours we’re considering. The price of the double vinyl album package will be around € 35 . We will try to keep it as low as we can.

Before we commit to invest in this beautiful package we want to survey the interest in this vinyl edition. So could you PLEASE help us out by filling in the form on this LINK. There is no obligation to buy, we just need to gauge interest as we really need at least 50-60 people interested in the vinyl album to make this happen. I really hope we can do it! Let us know!

Cheers

/Adrian
